Background
LVMH has appointed Véronique Courtois as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Parfums Christian Dior and CEO of the Group’s Beauty Division, strengthening leadership continuity across its beauty businesses. In her expanded role, Courtois will oversee all the Maisons within the Beauty Division while continuing to lead Parfums Christian Dior.
As part of the appointment, Courtois joins LVMH’s Executive Committee, where she will play a key role in shaping the Group’s long-term strategy in beauty. The move ensures managerial stability for Parfums Christian Dior, one of LVMH’s most iconic and fast-growing luxury brands.
The appointment follows the decision of Stéphane Rinderknech to leave the Group after leading the expansion of LVMH’s Hospitality and Beauty divisions. Rinderknech has chosen to step down to focus on new personal projects.
Commenting on the transition, Stéphane Bianchi, Managing Director of LVMH, thanked Rinderknech for his contribution to the Group. He said Rinderknech played a significant role in developing the hospitality business and later brought strong expertise to the beauty segment.
Courtois brings more than two decades of experience within LVMH. She joined the Group in 2000 and held several roles in markets and marketing. In 2007, she became Chief Marketing Officer at Guerlain. She later joined Christian Dior Couture in 2010 as Marketing Director.
In 2012, Courtois was appointed Brand General Director of Parfums Christian Dior. She went on to serve as President and CEO of Guerlain in 2019 and has led Parfums Christian Dior as President and CEO since March 2023.
During her tenure, Courtois has strengthened the performance and global appeal of Parfums Christian Dior. LVMH said her leadership experience and deep knowledge of the beauty sector will support continued growth across the Group’s beauty Maisons.
