Key Background:

Apple will hold its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9 at its Cupertino headquarters, where it will launch seven new products. This makes it one of the company’s biggest updates in recent years.

The main highlight will be the iPhone 17 Air, an ultra-thin model that may replace the iPhone Plus. It will be the thinnest iPhone of all, with only 5.5mm of thickness. It will feature a 6.6-inch ProMotion screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a titanium-aluminum frame, and will weigh just 145 grams. The slimmer design can be accompanied by a smaller battery and a single 48MP rear camera. Apple would be selling it at about $899.

The company will also launch the iPhone 17, which will feature a sharper 24MP front camera. The iPhone 17 Pro models will come with a new pill-shaped camera setup offering up to 8x optical zoom, aluminum backs for more strength, and new orange and blue color choices.

Apple will also update its smartwatches. The Apple Watch Series 11 will add new health tools, including blood pressure trend tracking. The updated Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with an emergency satellite connection and the biggest and brightest Apple Watch screen ever.

In audio, the AirPods Pro 3 will include heart-rate tracking, stronger noise cancellation, and a slimmer design. This event will follow Apple’s strong third-quarter results, where the company earned $94 billion in revenue, mainly from iPhone sales.

Apple will start pre-orders for the new iPhones on September 12, and the phones will go on sale from September 19. The occasion will also pre-empt future Apple products, such as the foldable iPhones and AR glasses, in the near future.

Together with this introduction, Apple will focus on slick designs, health-conscious functionality, and innovative technology, as it tries to be the leader in the world technology industry.
