Background :
Microsoft introduced its Frontier Success framework at the Microsoft AI Tour, which took place in Hong Kong, to help local businesses transition from their current AI testing stage into complete operational deployment of artificial intelligence systems. The company also announced that Wave 3 of Microsoft Copilot, delivered through Microsoft 365 E7, will become generally available in Hong Kong in the first week of May.
Microsoft’s Commercial Business CEO Judson Althoff said organisations across Hong Kong are rethinking how work gets done with agentic AI, moving beyond trials to running operations at scale, with trust, security, and governance built in throughout.
The Frontier Success Framework centres on four outcomes: enriching employee experience, reinvesting customer engagement, reshaping business processes, and accelerating innovation. Microsoft 365 E7 brings together Copilot, Work IQ, and Agent 365, alongside enterprise security and governance tools designed to help AI scale responsibly.
Two Hong Kong enterprises are already applying the framework. AIA deployed agentic AI across product training, claims processing, lead management, and customer self-service, while also running a citizen developer programme through Copilot Studio. AS Watson Group integrated AI tools across its offline and online retail channels, enabling AI-driven product discovery, skin analysis, in-store personalisation, and AI-generated marketing content.
Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau General Manager Leo Liu noted that the company has supported Hong Kong through 35 years of digital transformation, and remains committed to helping local organisations lead responsibly in the AI era while keeping human judgment firmly in control.
